| Hey there buddy...
So, life is kinda hectic for lil miss yazzy this week and next. Not only does she have to prepare for a workshop she'll be teaching next tuesday at the camp her school is having with the youth group, she has to get pictures for a video presentation for the student's performance for the awards day. Sigh...
So, the students will be signing a medley of Christ The Solid Rock and The WIse Man Build His House Upon The Rock. The theme for the awards Sunday is Christ Our Rock. The workshop that I'll be teaching would be on acceptance and Jesus not being accepted for who He was when He was on earth. Cool, eh? The first time for me running a workshop!
Just got a call from my pal Micheal Bishop. It's wonderfully awesome when I get to talk with my friends from Springfield. Pals...I am all lonely here. Anyone wanting a change? Fly on East to Malaysia. ;) Just kidding. My social life is so-so. I have friends, but with work and all, I don't get much time to hang-out.
On the bright side, I've finally found a church I want to be a part of. It's a small home-church. The pastor is really something and it's actually progressive in the sense that it's all about God's word, personal relationship with God and leading a spirit-filled life. No manmade rules. No bureaucracy. No hypocrisy. I love it.
God is great! | | |
| Guess what? I'm still alive. Yeah. Anyways, anyone missed me? Please say you did. Someone? Anyone?
Life's kinda been crazy here in Malaysia. The haze was bad for weeks (thanks to INDONESIA!!) and my sinuses had a blast during that time. Been catching one form of virus or another since I came back home. Makes me miss the clean fresh air of Springfield. sigh.
Nothing to interesting going on in my life. Work and home. Too lazy to haul my arse to the cyber cafe to get online and too stingy to pay "top dollah" for using the net. haha.
So, to all those who read this post...HOLA!
| So this new week marks the first month of me in my new job. The way God makes things happen is amazing. you just never know what he has up his sleves. I praise Him for His blessings!
I'm working for a church here in Bukit Mertajam, Penang which has an extensive social ministry. It's for their Christian Education Board that I'm working for in their center for home schooling. The syllabus is from the Alpha Omega Publications based in US. The amazing thing is that it is all Bible related. They even incorporate it in the Science, Maths, History and Geography subjects.
Every morning before the day starts, the principle, me and another supervisor get together and pray for the students, be it their education, spritual or physical. Then we have devotion with the students where the secondary students and primary students are split. I along with another supervisor conduct the devotion for the primary students. Boy, those little kids have better Bible knowledge than I do. Tsk tsk...
After devotion, the classes start and the kids work on their LIFEPAC books. Here, they have to do their school work on their own and only seek help from the supervisors if they need some explanation. Pretty much, that is what i do. And I LOVE IT!!
I'm kind of surprised that I enjoy being a "teacher". Never knew that. Perhaps this is God's way of leading me to where he wants me to be.

| So, I finally got a job. And guess what? I'll be working for a church, for their school. hahahhaa...full time ministry. :)
And I have a couple of tutoring gigs to help with the cash flow.
God's awesome and all things happen in his time. :)
| It seems like ages and eons have passed since I left Springfield, and la, it's only been a little over a month.
Life's pretty much the same. Mundane. Boring. Blah.
Malaysia is a tad too hot for my liking and way way too humid for me. Hopefully in due time my internal temperature shall be in sync with the external one.
Being back after a long time away has certainly opened my eyes to the wonderful aspects of my fine country. This place is freaking beautiful. Seriously. Someday, I shall furnish pictures to proof.
I'm certainly missing everyone in Springfield.
Sigh. | | |
